Eagle Creek Florida Charities hosted their most successful food drive ever for Our Daily Bread Food Pantry. Held over 2 days; January 22 and 23, 2026, the event resulted in an incredible 1,720.5 pounds of food collected in the clubhouse, an outstanding show of generosity from the Eagle Creek community. This is 46% more food collected than last January’s food drive.
This remarkable effort was made possible thanks to the dedication of organizers Judy Grayson, Karen Curley, and George O’Brien, along with General Manager Michael Bell and the exceptional staff at Eagle Creek. Heartfelt thanks also go to pantry volunteer, Jon Lockwood, who coordinated the transport of the donations back to Marco Island, where the food was weighed, processed, and will soon be distributed to pantry guests in East Naples, Marco Island, Goodland, and surrounding communities.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported this effort. Your generosity is making a meaningful difference for families in our community!

Hello friends at Eagle Creek Florida Charities!
For the past three years, your organization has supported an incredibly successful Positive Behavior incentive program at our school.
We reward our students with Manatee Money that they can spend during breakfast time at the bi-weekly at “Marley’s Market”.
Here’s a recap of how it works:
Students earn Manatee Money from teachers and other staff as a reward for positive behavior, effort, etc.
They save their money and have an opportunity to “shop” at Marley’s Market every other Friday morning.
Marley’s Market is student run. Students apply for “jobs” at our school and one of the jobs is a “Marley’s Market store clerk” (Marley is the name of our Manatee).
Store clerks meet to give input on items that students might like to buy with their Manatee Money and purchases to stock the store are made throughout the year as needed.
Store clerks restock the store when items arrive and “work” at the store twice a month.
Items include many trinket/toy type items that students love (ex. Fidget spinners, stickers, Croc charms, fun pens/pencils, small toys, etc.).
We also include coupons that can be purchased for no-cost items such as “pass to the front of the lunch line” or a turn on our Pac Man arcade game.
This year we have added our “higher priced” carts with games, toys, etc. that students can save up for.
This has been a great addition, teaching students to save and “budget” for something they really want vs. the instant gratification of the smaller trinkets, etc. that “cost” fewer Manatee Dollars.
As we’ve mentioned the past few years, this program has been so successful and is now a part of school culture, we would really like to see it continue!
